What Have I Done?

Steven LaRose, Towards the Door We Never Opened (phase two), 2012
I had to buy a better camera in order to take pictures of these bigger (36 x 80 inches) paintings.  Whoa. The resolution is brilliant.  Now I need to upscale the lighting or wait for overcast days.  But for now, the uneven light spread is just fine because this painting won't look like this in two hours anyway.  I thought it was charming enough for the moment however, and I was itching to test my new camera.

Nice! (Um, I call 80" paintings plain "big." I know that means I'm not a serious artist, but oh well. Yes, even if only one direction is that long and the other is quite a bit shorter -- still!)

I want to break in to your studio and take this one away from you as it is. That's what you get for posting in-progress. What camera did you get?

I linked to the camera in the next post.
