Picton Points

I brought some paintings to Matthew's truck today. That is my delivery vehicle in the front. Matthew is driving up to Seattle this weekend for a show he is having at the Howard House. He was kind enough to let me use "grandma's attic" for free!
If you are in Seattle, you should definitely go see Matthew's show which opens on the 26th. I, for one, will be up there a week later because I received this email from my friend Tim: "hey Steve, i'm now curating a vinyl only (only records played) bar. i've hand-picked 700 LP's so far. Also curating the Art & entertainment. Am working on Tim Kerr(Big Boys/Poison 13/Monkeywrench) 1st Seattle art showing& a few others and was wondering if you would be interested in being our 1st show?! Opening weekend is March 6 and we have Tom Price's Desert Classic playing." I said yes to Tim because all the opportunities seemed to fall into place.

I gave them all a lump of play-doh and a square foot of aluminum foil. It may have been too much for their seventh week.

Demonstration

The other night in painting class I tossed one of Stacy's bean-bag chairs on a pedestal and hung a sheet behind it. I had hand painted stripes on the sheet for a drawing class. This particular painting class is reinforcing my belief that Drawing should be a pre-requisite for Painting. Anyway, I tried to hold a dozen student's hands and walk them through this ridiculous set up in three hours. With the students set up behind me, I would dabble a little and try to explain what was going on in my brain and then I would take a lap around the room to hover behind each student briefly. I was exhausted.

Eight year old girls sleep over and grind the notion of Art into dust

When was the last time that you spent a Saturday morning playing Centipede in your jammies?

Have you ever blissfully dressed the same as someone else?

Have you ever tried to choose a "Best Friends" charm?

Up late.
Up early.
These are the days that make sense to the kitten and the dog who understand the power of the nap.
