I can't tell what Loillieux's doing. He must have an actual texture on there, and then he paints illusionistically, using that texture shape as a template for the painted form he's creating.
I hope that's what he's doing. It's cool.
That's the thing about the web Steve - there's all this stuff out there, but finding it, connecting is really the work of The Underground just now.
Curators are too busy making career moves to actually do this kind of spadework, so artists end up having to do it for themselves.
