What if I told you that this is an eight foot circle cut from black velvet?
I'd reply that I think you should try executing that idea.
how will it be presented?
It might have to be stitched to a monofilament grid. Interestingly, the grid, or "net" might be intellectually/politically tied to the harvesting of sea sponges. It might look cool and machined, behind the soft and floppy fabric. There might have to be a pipe or baton on the top and bottom, preferably not. A whole 'nuther direction, and easier, would be to project it on the wall and paint the black with good old white glue and while it is still tacky, dust the glue with black flocking powder. Maybe the wall should be painted with blacklight sensitive paint first, then the flocking. Do you really think it is necessary to execute? I've got a pretty good idea of it in my head. . .
Do you really think it is necessary to execute? I've got a pretty good idea of it in my head. . .I was thinking the same thing. I'd love to see the exhibition catalog for an entire show of implied pieces. Imaginable Art.
Implied pieces - that's very Yoko Ono.(I mean that in a good way.)
